Etymology (言葉の起こり)

The idea behind the term came out because, when you get extremely mad, your hair or your wid might jump off your head.

You can use the term in a positive manner. You will wig out when you hear really superb music, for example.

激怒した時など髪の毛、あるいはカツラ（wig）の毛が逆立つことからこの言葉が生まれました。

よい意味にも使われます。例えば、取って置きの音楽を聴いたときなど『（感激するほど）興奮する』といったように使われます。

あなたのマウスのポインターを怒った裁判官の絵の上に持ってゆくとアニメーションを見ることができます。

止めるにはポインターを絵からはずしてください。
