How To Apply for Admission?First of all, you have to contact the school, college, or university in your mind to receive an application. You might be able to download an application form if you know the address of the Web site. Be carefull of the deadline dates, which are usually as follows:
Admission RequirementsA completed Application for Admission form Academic records: transcripts showing completion of the equivalent of secondary or high school (grade 12 in British Columbia) with a “C” average Documents needed: all upper secondary and post-secondary school records, original or certified and translated Proof of English language proficiency (for all academic programs) if English is not your first language: TOEFL of 220 (560 written test) or IELTS of 6.5 overall or ELA of 145 (ELA is available only in Vancouver) Document needed: official score report. NOTE: The minimum score varies from college to college. You had better contact your college and obtain the information. Original documents should be sent from TOEFL, New Jersey, USA
NOTE: not required if you take English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Application fee of $100 Cdn: non-refundable; payable by cheque, money order, or bank draft Apply three months before the application deadline to allow time to process your application and your Student Authorization (visa). Some programs require applications to be made six months before the application deadline; for example, programs which require interviews, portfolios, special testing, auditions, and so on. Fax documents and/or photocopies will not be accepted. A letter allowing students to write the English Language Assessment (ELA) test is available from the Registrar's Office.
